Robben Island Prison Tour

Robben Island is infamous as South Africa's Alcatraz, and the place where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for 18 years. 

Your tour will start at the V&A Waterfront where a high speed ferry will transport you to the prison island. There a former political prisoner will guide you through the prison, including the cell where "Madiba" spent so many years - cell 46664. 

Robben Island has also housed a hospital, mental institution, leper colony and military base during its rich history.
